LogMeIn On the Nintendo Wii

I recently went on my Wii. I instantly had the idea to go to LogMeIn, a not very well known remote desktop service that works with Mac and PC, and I logged into my account. I clicked on my Mac. Usually you get the “plugin not install” dialog, but that didn’t show up. It went right to connecting to the Mac. I logged in as me on the Mac, clicked Remote Control, and then my jaw dropped. My screen from my Mac started to scroll down the screen. A toolbar with a refresh button (the screen was not live), a key entry text box, and a special key dropdown list was on the top of the screen. I was even able to scale up or down the screen image by percentile.

This was not some kind of unsupported browser thing. This interface was designed for the Wii. You won’t get far with VNC, so this (free) LogMeIn service is a good remote desktop solution for your Wii. Sorry, Linux users, this service is not available to you. It only works with Mac or PC. Heck, there is even a Pro version of LogMeIn, if you want remote sound, and mounting of LogMeIn computer hard disks. Go to here for more info on LogMeIn.
