Today is my last day here at the Wyndham Resort at Nashville. I’m typing this on the front porch of their Amenity Center, which is nice. They have 3 pools here: 2 outdoor, one indoor. By the 3rd pool they have a pavilion with some picnic tables and a playground with basketball court. The indoor pool is accessible from the 2nd pool (outdoor) and the Amenity Center. In this Amenity Centerr they have WiFi access, 3 guest computers, popcorn, a movie rental machine, and a coffee machine. The WiFi is free and so are the guest computers, and the coffee and the popcorn. But, the movie rental machine is $6 per movie! That’s a crazy price for even a DVD rental! Everything is just too expensive here! The ice cream sales at one of the pools had to be changed from $2 to $1 because nobody would buy it for $2! And the Craft Hour…oh my gosh…$10 for a T-Shirt project. That’s gay. So, amenities is a 7.5 out of 10.
The room we have is sweet. A Visio 30-inch sits in the TV cabinet, and there are basic essentials: a stovetop oven, a conventional over, a microwave oven, a fridge, cabinets, silverware, and plates and bowls. There is 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a twin bed, a jacuzzi and, of course a shower and a toilet technically connected to the bedroom. The smaller bedroom has a bath/shower and 2 twin beds. I slept on the pullout couch, which was ok, but at least I got to watch on the Visio. The room is a 10 out of 10 here.
The service….not as good. My sister called the front desk to find out the unspecified location for the “Kids Club/Pool Games” activity. We got a message back saying that the location was located at the front desk. Whoa, stop. Ma’am, you are at the front desk. Why can’t you just tell us where it is instead of making us walk all the way to the Amenity Center just to see where a stupid pool games thing was when you are sitting at the same front desk where the location is stated? And the annoyances…calling at 8:30AM about some “evaluation” that you get $75 for taking an hour long survey to keep the resorts ratings up! They called every 4 hours to get us to schedule a time for it. We did do so, and ignored that we had to go there. I give service a 4 out of 10.
So, we have 75% rating for amenities, 100% for rooms, and 40% for service. The overall (averaged) rating is 71%. That is a C- on the school grading scale, but I don’t know how it works for reviews. On a Horrible to Excellent scale, I give it a “Good”.
